"Hey, not like I can help it right now!" Retiaria snapped back. Even without her admitting it, her arousal was pretty clear, even to the most oblivious of people.

The ogress is struck but doesn't seem very bothered yet..

Naethra took a step back.  That last orb had been phenominally effective, but the wizard, Lou, he'd been sticking to cantrips.  Now that she had the ability to actually use spells like a real sorceress... should she?  It had been easy to husband her resources before, since there was so little at her disposal in the first place.  But now...

One ogre was gone.  The other was off balance, and focused on Gwyn and Red.  With only one, they could afford to take their time.

She reached for a simple evocation.  Not nearly as effective as the one she had been using since her pact, but forged of her own magic.

(Naethra casts firebolt.  10 + 5 = 15 to hit, 1 fire damage.)

The ogress is hit like the soft carress of a falling leaf...

Retaria's turn

"Anyway, I guess I should... y'know, try and fight too. Hey, ya big bitch! I'm gonna jab that fat belly of yours!"

She thrust her trident at the ogre's stomach, pulling the blow at the last second and instead flicking the trident's blades up into her face as she looked down at the expected hit to her tummy.

Gwyn confidently lunges forward with her rapier, but trips a bit on Red's tail and misses the large forge.

I'm annoyed I wasn't able to keep the attention of the ogre, but now it has it's back to me and I intend to make it regret ignoring me. With both hands on my hammer I go for its leg once more "Just fall down!"

The ogress isn't slowed down yet by the blows that have rained down upon it simply bellowing her rage..

Okay, so, my master said basic evocation could come in handy... I never REALLY believed him, it wasn't my area of interest... I'm now seeing the value of practice as I shape another small- honestly, embarrassingly small, mote of fire, and lob it at the thing's face. At least she's not mad at me yet.

((rolled a 7 to hit... seems bad. Still, it was a 1 for damage if it had hit...))

The ogress harried on all sides turns trying to smash Oric into the ground her club missing the dwarf by a hairs margin as it thuds deeply into the ground.

"Okay that's a good point Red, sorry. I'll get you less aroused and more focused again as soon as we finish this." Duran assured as she tried to keep the Ogress surrounded, watching as it nearly hits Oric. "Just, you and Oric, be careful. Don't want either of you getting clobbered." Once she thinks she finds an opening, Duran makes a swing believing she has found a good opening to weaken the ogress. "Aha!"

I smile up at the ogre, doing my best to not move at all as the club swings past "Come on then. stop trying to hit me and HIT ME!"

Naethra was... getting used to combat.  The thought was worrying.

This fight seemed to be going well.  The ogre was harried to the point of carelessness, and already without its comrade.  They were wearing down its defenses, and she was cognizant (and not terrified) enough to recognize the wizard was conserving his spells, using only simple evocations.  That made sense... fight in hand, it'd be a good idea to save her mystic reserves for whatever comes next.

She reached for power.  Something simple.  A focused burst of eldritch energy, wrapped from wisps and whimsy and not tapping her inner reserve.  She felt it kindle and spark between her verdant fingers, and with a gust of will flung it at the remaining ogre.

(Naethra casts flamebolt: 4 + 5 = 9 to hit, 7 fire damage it won't possibly do.)

Durans blow clearly rattles the plump ogress as she winds up  fire in her eyes for the dragon born now..
