Retaria finds herself standing in place in a row along with other warriors. Turning to the side she sees that they are all crimson skinned tieflings, all dressed as gladiators. Nobles walk past looking you all over one stops near you. "I'll take this one." He gestures beside you as the red skinned tiefling steps forward mutely. You get a better look then.. They aren't just like you.. They are you.. Each one of them.. Exactly you.

The noble walks that other you to the front counter.. You are in a store... She is folded up and placed in a bag that the nobles servant takes away. The shop girl, a busty black haired elven woman walks around dusting the Reds on the shelf. "Creepy isn't it?" She smiles, "Knowing your just a thing, a product to be used." She smiles and walks away as a woman of wealth enters and looks around pausing right in front of you. The shop girl smiles at you, "Then again.. you've always known.. in this world.. there are the owners.. and the owned."

You step out following the woman to the front counter, "Just imagine.. so many worlds.. so many products.. but.." The noblewoman's face becomes clear.. her red skin..her horns..

"There is a world or two where things are different.. I wonder where you are.."

Naethra finds herself in a warm sunlit glen. A deer rests at her feet. Another plant kin emerges and the deer stands and steps to the side. She kisses you soft lips against each other. "You do live in a world dictated by deals and markers and who owns who don't you?" She runs a hand through the leaves of your hair, "I think by your reckoning you would be quite deep in debt." She rests her hands on your hips, "You are not strong enough to repay me yet."

She kisses you again, "Your debt will be deeper than you can possibly conceive, and you will pay more than you ever thought possible." She looks almost sad for a moment, "and when the time comes, you will pay it more eagerly than you can imagine. For now.. Grow stronger... Enjoy your time." She kisses your forehead and pulls one of her own fruits and presses it to your lips, "I won't let you slip away to nothing.. That would be such a waste of investment.."

Gwyn finds herself running branch to branch. She needs to gather up enough food to see herself through the winter.  She makes it back to her little lair acorns and nuts stocked there against the coming winter. She hears noises below. Peaking out of the canopy she can see two legs marching. Off to get themselves killed or eaten or some other bad thing.. She was safe here in the trees..

Another squirrel leaps from another branch to land next her. "Such a small little life. I guess this is the wage of fear." She nuzzles up against Gwyn for a few moments, "but there are other lives.."

Gwyn finds herself leaping from the shadowed undergrowth pouncing the poor bastard who dared enter her territory.. She lets out a howl watching the pathetic humans shrivel into prey for her to hunt. She could rebuild her pack.. start again..

Gwyn now sits at a round table with the rodent and the wolf.. The three are playing cards, "One of us is going to end up on top.. Can you possibly keep us balanced one of us is going to win and take this life."

Gwyn felt conflicted. Coming from different perspectives. Different lives. She looked at her cards and then at the rodent and the wolf.

"What about we make a deal? We don't need to finish this hand. We can come up with an agreement, or I can defeat you with my hand." Gwyn sets her cards down trying a confident poker face. Hoping she could bluff her way out of a terrible hand, even though she wasn't even sure what game they were playing.

The sun was pleasant, peaceful.  Things seemed so serene here.  And then the other plant-woman approached.  Wait... why was she a plant-person in her dream?  This had just happened earlier that day... shouldn't her dream self-image still be the old her?

Unless this isn't her dream.  Why did the other plant woman seem familiar?

Her mind raced, trying to process what was happening.  Was this the Lady of Sin?  Or... was this her Fae patron?  Worryingly... could she be both?

She tried to work her thoughts into words.  She tried to say "who are you?" only for her toothless mouth to close on the fruit she'd pushed against her lips, the ripe object bursting with the touch, juices running down her throat.

Naethra woke with a start, panting.  After a few quick breaths, she turned her head to the wall where she had carved her question.

Thoroughly inebriated, Retiaria eventually made her way upstairs with Gwen and the bar wench. She was no stranger to a lack of privacy, so the fact that they were in a common room was no deterrence to her wanting some fun.

After a rather pleasurable time sharing a quite-too-small bed with these two lovely ladies, she eventually fell into a deep sleep, secure and comfortable in their embrace.

...

Standing at attention, her 'betters' inspecting her. This was something Retiaria was well used to, and well tired of. Though, the fact that there were so many copies of her was... strange, for sure. Strange that it was, and strange that it didn't feel strange, even though she knew it was. She watched as the other her was taken away, folded (Folded? How?) and bagged for the noble shopper, her lip curling in disgust.

Quote
"Creepy isn't it? Knowing your just a thing, a product to be used. Then again.. you've always known.. in this world.. there are the owners.. and the owned."

"Mmm." Retiaria grunted in agreement. The woman staring at her. She... she looked familiar. More than familiar! That was... was that another her? Could she really be like that? Rich, sure, powerful, maybe, but this version of her exuded that sheer essence of nobility that only a true toff could have. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw a signet ring on the noble Retiaria's hand. She'd never even dared dream of that, and the sight of it twisted her heart with thoughts of what she had lost, what could have been. Of what... maybe was, for some other version of her? The lucky bitch...

Quote
"There is a world or two where things are different.. I wonder where you are.."

"I've been owned before." Retiaria said, stepping out of her place in line. "I'm no noble, but I'm not going back to that. Never again..."

The dream faded, and she awoke with an odd feeling. Steadfast resolution, mixed with a terrible ache of loss and loneliness. She wasn't alone of course, in fact her head was currently nestled between Gwen's voluminous breasts. But still, Gwen couldn't fill that hole. She wasn't her...

Loucious finds herself standing in her masters library. All there are stacks of books off their shelves. Tomes of great lore simply dropped in place next to shelves and on tables..

Of greater concern is the smell of smoke in the air. Walking around the corner Lou sees no sign of the master, no magical creature just fire pit in the middle of the room with flames leaping merrily from it. One of those dirt grubbing farmers picks up a book, one of the early tomes of transmutation and flips through it.. "Nope.. nothing worthwhile here either." She then causally tosses it into the fire and picks up another irreplaceable book. "Nothing in here tells the real truth." Another book goes into the fire..

Another farmer looks up from tossing a book in, "Maybe we aren't looking at it from the right perspective." Another book goes up in flames.

"Or maybe we aren't were we can see the truth.. Maybe there is no truth.."

In a blink Lou is toiling in a field where vials of liquid grow out of the ground, and rune stones are in pea pods.. "you may be looking from the wrong perspective.." in a flash the fields are massive around here wheat stocks like tree trunks, "Maybe you are someplace you can't see the truth.."

Alma's voice thunders behind Lou, "Maybe there is no truth.." Lou is picked up and dropped landing in giant cleavage, "Paradise and torment are inches away." Lou slips down further in.. the heat and pressure growing.. The massive mamories start to become all enveloping..

Oric finds herself sitting at a small round table with a shadowed figure. "Well.. You certainly are making use of my gifts.." The voice is feminine and hard to place. You catch a hint of black lace but nothing else. "Be careful.." She places several empty dishes in the middle of the table. "The stillness of things is an easy thing to get addicted to.." She taps a silver tray with  a white gloved hand and Oric falls towards it..

Oric the teapot sits in place ready to do it's labors.. Boiling water and leaves are poured into it's body filling it with contented pride.. The figure speaks for a while before snapping her hands in front of the spout, "are you paying attention? No.. your slipping into a life of literal mindless self indulgence." The tea is poured hot and scalding from the teapot...

Oric the teacup recievs the tea and holds it feeling honey and cream mixed in and stirred around. "You know what's funny?" She taps the cup on the saucer and a tiny Oric tumbles out.. "as I was saying.. There is a funny story. One of the hero's of the fall.. She was never a real girl to begin with. DO you think it's honoring her to become a thing?"

She shrugs brushing the tiny oric across the table, "I think a little balance there is called for." she giggles.. "get it... because your tiny..." that giggling follows you to wakefulness..

Even as I find myself slipping out of the dream, I want to leave a message with the figure. I do my best to cling to the dream just long enough to get my thought out "I don't intend to lose myself to being a thing, but I also don't intend to fear what I might become. I can finally be helpful, I intend to make use of this ability." I wake up, my sex moist with the perversion I find in my dream experience. Hopefully others are to distracted to ask about it... or last night.

Duran opens her eyes in the novice quarters of the temple.. She looks around and sees the others novices.. today is the day that new paladins are inducted.. Duran was going to show them..

But she blinks.. when did she fall asleep.. she was going to be late! She ran down the corridor huffing and puffing as she went. Finally she made it only to see the scornful looks of her testers. "Why did we even let this one sleep in the temple.. Clearly not paladin material.." Thats when she realizes she's come to the test Naked! The other novices giggle and point at her and her huge butt and thick tail hanging out for all to see.

"At least dress yourself!"

Duran finds herself looking in her wardrobe.. All of the novice robes are for someone tiny and skinny.. The only things that fit are the outfits of the bar maids and cleaning women.. Looking up in the mirror either one fits well.. The swishy skirt...  the cute apron.. it all adds up to a fancy pink dragon..

She couldn't believe it. She just couldn't. First she was late, then she had no cloths on when she did make it. Laughed at and mocked for her curvy form. And now as she tries to find something to wear, it's only the outfits made perfect for serving or cleaning up. Nothing like the robes they need for the initiation This was terrible. Horrible and as she tried in vain to get one of the robes on ,she could only huff as she know what all this means.

if she can't get the right outfit, she'll fail. She won't become a paladin. She'll fail the temple, Aircame, and even herself. The robe just won't work but looking though the rest and checking in the mirror. She least would look pretty in either the skirt or apron. A.. pretty but not heroic pink dragon.

Everyone slips from their sleep into wakefulness. At some point during the night someone cured Oric. The barmaid departed during the night leaving Retaria and Gwyn to snuggle up during the night. Gwyn can already tell that she's going to need to relive herself of beer again at some point dureing the day, although she's not burdened yet.

Naethra finds that there is nothing at all in the place where she carved out her vandalism last night. Even her original carving is gone.

The smell of some sort of oat porridge wafts up the stairs into the room.

Burning... Burning books?!??

I stop my efforts to straighten up the library immediately and move to tackle the person burning books! There- I mean, even if they AREN'T perfectly accurate they are of worth! I barrel down at her, running fast as I can only to find... I'm running through a field where the work of skillful and intensive effort is growing from the ground. That's... Well, it's absurd by definition! Decent visual pun though... And an excellent metaphor for what I have seen since I used that teleportation spell. I give my dreaming mind kudos for thinking it up... And then I am small. Powerless, overwhelmed. Again this is obvious, but my mind now gets no points for subtlet- Alma? Didn't she say something about the effects of the nectar? I should ask her more about it... I- what is she doing? No- no! Can't breathe! I try to crawl out, thrashing and...

Wake up. "Well that was intense..." I mutter. One thing my dream has successfully communicated though: I have the wrong perspective. When one sees impossible things happening, the only conclusions are that you are wrong about what is impossible and/or things are not what they seem... There IS truth, of some sort, there always is, and I'm all the more determined to find it.

I get up and head out to find Alma.

"Well, shit."  Naethra quietly murmured to herself, staring at the perfectly non-descript spot on the wall.  She didn't really know what she expected to happen, but she'd rather been hoping for some more direct sign of intervention.  Quickly, while the memories were still fresh, she tried to run things through.

She was visited in her dreams last night.  That was a definite contact with an entity.  Most likely the Lady of Sin from how overly sexual she was.  She saw and felt what the Lady wanted her to.

The question she'd carved onto the wall had been aimed at figuring out what interest the Lady had in her.  To be honest, it was also supposed to be a gentle probe into a very troubling question.  She'd gotten a hold of the Lady's attention, but only had worrisome suppositions to show for it.

She picked up her focus and looked into the crystal.  That was given to her by her patron.  It wasn't pearly before she was brought here.  That was a point against her hypothesis.

She didn't know who her patron was.  She had no name, no contact, no mission, no directives, nothing.  Just a promise she made, exhausted and teary-eyed and terrified.  She hadn't read much about pacts with the great fae, but she was given to understand that they were generally more hands on.  That would be a point for her hypothesis...

Her magic was faerie in origin.  That was clear just from the spells she found herself able to wield.  That was a point against... unless the Lady is Fae?  That seemed unlikely, but she couldn't rule it out.  Whatever she was, she was at least as powerful as a deity here.  Could a deity in her own realm sever a magical connection?  She didn't know enough about the underlying metaphysics to decide for certain.  Maybe the wizard would know?

That was another problem... if her hypothesis was correct, how would her teammates respond to learning she was utterly at the whim, mercy, and command of the entity that dragged them all here?  As far as Naethra could tell, the only thing the Lady would get out of them was amusement.

Gods damnit, after all that she still didn't answer the question she'd carved into the wall.  She was drowning in debt, and someone would call it in someday.  The terms were nebulous, but grand.  When her pact was with a distant fae lady, that had seemed like an attractive prospect, but now... did she still have a lady to serve?  Had her debt been sold?  Was her magic coming from this Sin-bitch?  Was being indebted to an unnamed Fae Lord really any better than being owned by the Lady of Sin?  How much did she have to lose?

That last question stuck with her as she peered into her crystal orb.

"I think," she said aloud as her companions began to wake up, "that I should ask around and see if I can find a shield.  And I think we need to talk strategy.  The goblins were looking for six adventurers, and then they assumed they were only looking for three after they captured the idiots who fought them.  To me, that means they don't have Aerin.  Given that its unlikely our... princess, for lack of a better word, is being held there... do we still want to fight them?"

Lou feels a hand on her shoulder as she gets ready to leave the inn. "Hold up there missy. Where do  you think your going without your friends and without your breakfast?" It's Gavin with a smile on her face and a steaming bowl in her hand. "What's the almighty rush out there when you've still got some gobbos poking into things and lifting skirts like the naughty girls that they are?"
