Spring Con Sketch

Back from Spring Con this past weekend. I normally attend these shows as a writer and photographer. This year has been the first time I’ve billed my self as an artist. Side effect of that is that I do some sketches at the show. I was asked to do a couple during the show and when I had some down time I did one for my self that is seen here. Jim Keefe, the writer/artist for the Flash Gordon newspaper strips, was next to me at the show and once I started the sketch of my girl, I decided to make it a little Flash Gordon inspired.

Horror Pin Ups – Jason : In 3-D

I’ve been doing this ongoing series of horror pin up with girls taking the place of horror icons. They tend to be a little few and far between, but it’s fun stuff. Today we have Jason. I really couldn’t think of a girly variation of  the name Jason that still identified the character. This shot seemed inline with the 3-D horror tends that are currently plaguing movies. And it looked nifty. Enjoy.

Horror Pin Ups – Ms. Krueger

A year ago I started shooting a series of photos of horror icons as female pin ups. It didn’t get too far as I was only able to get one done so far. It’s been constantly in the back of my mind, and often discussed. Although it took this long to do an other one. This time I put my focus on Freddy Krueger.

This is the final product from Wednesday’s make up demonstration.

For those who are curious,The glove is from Josie O’Kain costume shop who has the plastic one that is pictured, as well as a very high quality metal glove. If you are interested you can contact them via their website.

Next up on my chopping block for the horror pin up is Jason. But I wouldn’t expect to see anything materialize on the site till December/January.

Chicago Comic-Con Sketches – Part 2

Every year I hit the Chicago Comic-Con (formerly Wizard World Chicago) and one of the things I love to do there is get sketches from the people in artist alley. We like to give thema  bit of a challenge and make a list of random concepts for them to draw. So I thought I would share some of the wonderful work I got from the talented people this year.

This set of sketches feature variations of The Doctor and some gender-swapped X-men.

Details for the artists I have information for:

Ninth Doctor by Rich A Molinelli
Female Nightcralwer by Jessica Hickman
Female Wolverine by Jose Johann Jaro

If I’m missing your information, please leave a message, and I will add it.
