She hisses at  the lot of you stepping back as she throws the dwarf from her tearing the tentacle from her belly.." You'll see leafy greens.." Her eyes seem mad focusing for a moment then unfocusing Even after taking so many hits she's not showing signs of either damage or arousal.. yet you can tell she's being pushed to some sort of edge..

"You'll all be mine...We'll all be happy in the garden... I need to fill the garden... Needs....."

She stands back rater than griping simply thrusts with vines from both arms Jabbing into the paladin and the warlock!

Gwen' s confidence is less confident.

"Bugger," Naethra muttered as the vine snapped at her.

One more Naethra's body shifts and turns plant like.. her skin turning to a green color her legs sinking into the earth.. the feelings of contentment and rightness with the world emerge again as her body grows heavy with fruits.

I stand up as she stabs my allies. Both of them quickly finding themselves rooted in place and my frustration grows as they do. Ignoring me would be her last mistake. Drawing my hammer with both hands I twist around and jump in the air to fill the blow with momentum, smashing it into the dryads face and dragging her down with me as I fall. Landing on one knee her head is pinned between my hammer and the hard ground. With a scowl I look down at her "I hate you, but at the least I'll be kind enough to plant you in your garden. Be grateful I'm far kinder than you."

[Alice told me this was enough to finish it off, which is why my text is much more dramatic than 5 damage would warrant. Also, I assumed Ryu failed the save because it doesn't really matter.]

The Hammer brings her down her body convulses and the vines scurry away from her like snakes into the brush.."I... was only... help..ing..." her body dissolves into motes of green light leaving behind a single red apple with a cloth bracelet wrapped around it. It is black and has lace frills around both edges..there is a stylized purple dragon head stitched into it.

Those who are effected by the creatures poison must save to throw it off.

"If you really wanted to help, you would have been willing to talk." Seeing the dryad fade away I'm relieved, but immediately feel my stomach knot as I see what's left behind. The bracelet is definitely in reference to Violet. Had I just killed a fellow follower? I look away with a frown "If possible, could the two of you relax for a short while? Just enjoy the change for a minute. I know it might feel weird, but collecting some of your berries might be helpful."

[Ordos]

Again Naethra felt the dryad-thing's magic wash over her.  Again she felt the comforting embrace of the earth as her feet split apart and dove into the soil.  She felt the warm caress of the sun as her arms swept upward, growing  and splitting into a canopy of leaves, weighed down with orbs of fruit...

And then the dryad was defeated, crumbling into motes and dfriting away.  The threat was gone, and Naethra felt comfortable.  Safe.

Surely, one of he rallies would cure this.  Duran would be eager to.  And Oric just said something about staying like this for a few minutes.  She could use the warmth, the sun...

The vines lashed out quickly before the dragonborn could react. Poking her and giving her a taste of that venom. The change felt sudden, odd, and yet strangely comforting in a way. Almost as if basking in the sun all day would be the best use of her time now that she's made part of nature. And yet, even then a nagging feeling did ring in the back of her mind. As simple, as strangely soothing as taking root and swaying in the air was, a part of her wasn't so eager to completely slip.

Still, whether or not she could hear Oric, it seems Duran wasn't so keen on sticking around like this. Or maybe she is?

Refit Required: - 1 AC and disadvantage on Dex based skills, saves, attack rolls. Resizing armor will fix this. Or probably shedding dem pounds.

Pleasantly Plump: -2 fitness penalty to Dexterity. -5 foot fitness penalty to movement. Gain benefits of the Tough Feat. Welp. Time to gen to love my awsome new pudgy pinkness!

"I could use a break." Gwen slumps down next to the Neathra tree, "Sorry, I couldn't help you and Duran more."

Retiaria let out a low whistle as she watched Orin pound the plant woman into the ground. "Damn, girl. Remind me not to piss you off..."

First the wolfrider goblin, now this, and Retiaria was developing a fair bit of respect for the dwarven cleric.

That didn't stop her from making a rather shocked 'are you fucking kidding me?' face when she suggested their friends stay as plants though.

"If possible, could the two of you relax for a short while? Just enjoy the change for a minute. I know it might feel weird, but collecting some of your berries might be helpful."

"Yeah, it certainly sounds weird too! Are you frigging serious? What the hell? We can't just leave them like this, and I definitely am not comfortable using their berries as extra rations!"

She headed over to Naethra and shook a branch-arm, urging her "Come on, snap out of it! You can beat this!"

Alas, that was all she could do to help.

Under the force of the Venom Duran Shifts into a a nice wide strawberry bush.. With lots of plump berries...

Then is able to throw off the effects almost immediately shifting back into the dragonborn, her uncomfortable armor now almost seeming welded on.

Naethra however remains relaxed.. Calm.. Heavy with fruit, but light from cares. Green creeps from her roots and branches into her body flowing slowly up her pale pale skin turning it darker as it goes.

(Duran is no longer charmed)

I shrug at Retiaria as she scolds me "We already know we can cleanse it, and we can't trust the food around here. The berries belong either to our companion or the dryad, and she's quite taken care of. That means no corrupting contracts. These could be one of a very small number of safe food items we find." As I speak I see Duran turn back, a bit disappointed I won't be getting to try those bright red berries. But Naethra seems to be staying in place for a moment so I quickly begin collecting as many berries as I can, carefully watching her to make sure it's not having an adverse effect "If this feels unpleasant or you want me to stop try and signal us somehow, perhaps shaking anything you can still move." Without looking away I speak to Duran "If you can cleanse the poison again please watch carefully and heal her if she seems to be going to far."

It's such a shame. If the dryad hadn't been mad perhaps they could have worked together. So many interesting questions regarding those turned into plants...

(If Oric gets a half dozen or so berries he stops)

Each fruit plucked feels tender and juicy. The smells are sweet and you soon half half a dozen fruit with Naethra responding not at all.


Neathra feels her energy wane with every fruit plucked, but it's the drain of doing good work.. Those fruits are gone, but you can make more.. You can bring the earths blessings to all of your companions..

"Yeah, I wouldn't be too sure about that." Retiaria replied. "Just as likely to turn you into a tree as well, far as I can see. But whatever."

She sat down next to Gwen. After a short pause, she asked her "So, how did it feel getting your fruit picked, anyway?"
