Always Ascending

The dragonborn  enjoyed the taste but felt a strong warmth. She shivered, feeling her body change and weight being lifted. It worked! For the most part with her hips still being fairly wide and her chest still being large but it was definitely a change in the right direction. The armor feeling bit looser in places but alas still tight among those spots that the potion didn't fix. Still Duran felt rather satisfied by the results made.

"I.... I feel..... hungry! Ugh! So... dang hungry! It's like I hadn't had a bite in days!" Her hand placed on her starving small belly as she opened up her bag. Pulling out and wolfing down a ration without a second thought. Helping to steer her sudden intense hunger.

Duran bodies a ration with the speed of a starving woman. Soon not even crumbs remain bu Duran is able to think past the hunger and act normally.

The forest still awaits the sun moves overhead. Who knows what might lurk in these woods at night..

Oric:

With a bit of a sad sigh at Durans new form I gather all my equipment "Okay everyone, lets get moving."

Gwyn hands Duran a paint of her beer. "Have some liquid bread as well. Made it myself. How are you feeling?"

Gwyn collects herself and starts to walk with the group into the woods. "Oric is right. Let's get moving."

Duran didn't take a second thought before downing the drink to go with the ration she devoured. "Whew! I feel light as a feather! Even if that's still obviously not true." She says, getting up after finishing the ration and drink. "But yeah, I'm agreeing with you both, I wanna move forward now too."

Retiaria watched in slightly disturbed fascination as the potion took effect and the pounds just melted off of Duran's frame. "Whoa." she said when it was over. "That looked freakin' weird. You f-"
She was interrupted by Duran tearing open a ration and wolfing it down. Fair play. Hunger was one of the side effects, apparently. Once Duran's hunger was sated, Retiaria grabbed her gear and nodded. "Yep. The rest did me good, but now that's all done with we should keep moving."

[Ordos]

Naethra stated at her teammate's change.  This transformation was one of the least extreme she had witnessed, but it seemed more disturbing, perhaps for its lack of surrealness.

"I'm not sure I like the idea of setting up camp, or a fire, out here.  We should keep moving so long as we have light left.  And, I guess, hope we find a shack or a cave that's not hostile or already occupied... okay, that didn't sound so surgically stupid in my head.  DO we actually have a plan for how we're going to survive the night?"

Oric:

"It's not that late, and the goblin base shouldn't be that far away. Most of us have dark vision so invading at night shouldn't be a problem. Once we're inside we can find a room with only one entrance and set up camp there." I start to walk, encouraging others to follow. We can walk and talk at the same time, so no point wasting time standing around.

[Roselli]

"Adventure ahead!" Gwyn smiled heading into the foods with the group looking forward to gathering more stories from experience. But she was getting a little self conscious. If she wasn't careful about the beer, she'd be in the same situation Duran as in, and there isn't a potion that is going to help her out of it. Not to mention she was looking completely different. Not even the same as a day ago. The tail and teeth where just as noticable as the rest of her. Are the buck teeth going to give her a lisp??

"Testing, testing? hello. Sally sold seashells." She spoke aloud.

[Alice]

Heading through the woods, the group soon comes across a small bit of stream. You can easily hop one side to the other with out effort. Following the stream for lack of any better direction the group hears the sounds of people up ahead..

Raised voices arguing.

[Nihtgenga]

"Who'd want to buy seashells?" Retiaria asked, confused.

Shortly after crossing a stream, voices could be heard up ahead. Retiaria stopped, trying to make out what they were saying.

"Maybe we should try sneaking up on them this time..." she whispered.

[Roselli]

"Sally." I answer. "It's just a statement with a lot of 's' soundth. Just checking if I had a lisp form these teeth."

Gwyn was ready to run into action upon hearing the voices ahead. She sighed at Red's common sense advice, "fine"

"What's a seashell? If it's pretty enough I might buy one..." Duran added as they walked forward.

Moments later when they hear the voice, Duran paused as well, trying to listen in. "Maybe they are fellow adventurers?" The dragonborn hoped as she tried to catch on what was bieng said by the voices.

The hope that these are fellow adventures is short lived as creeping up a group can be seen. There are three of the Timberlake humanoids.. gnolls... they have a dozen goblins with , but they do not seem to be wearing the crystal pendants that gave the others unnatural skill.

"Why do I have to fetch the water? Make one of the greenies do it."

"You'll do it because your weak, your magic is pathetic and you know if you challenge me I'll wear you home and the queen won't do a thing."

The two gnolls stare at each other for a time before one blinks turns her head aside and grabs a bucket headed away from the group towards the stream.

"Wait 'til she's gone for the water, then we ambush 'em, yeah?" Retiaria whispered, trying to stay quiet and out of sight until the moment was right to strike.
