GM: the earth shudders around you, the cavern ceiling threatening to collapse on top of you at any moment... just as it had for the past several hours. The other sounds seem to have died down, maybe you're finally alone?
Panda Monk: I shiver looking around trying to figure out if there is a good way out.. a way past.. them.. I start to creep along, I'd been lucky so far that the cavern hadn't fallen down around my head,, but I had not sureness this would stay the case..
GM: The only way out is the way you came in, but the tunnels had many splits, if you were lucky you could probably avoid running into whatever it was chasing you. Honestly they might have been friendly, but the sound of metal scraping on stone, and the regular hissing implied not so much.
Panda Monk: Maybe I could double back around them...I start heading deeper in still.. there may be a way through this maze rather than back into the teeth of my followers.
GM: Unfortunately, large portions of the cavern were covered in a strange, glowing fungus. It was helpful for seeing where the heck you're going, but it also meant others could see you and where you've been. Until now you've avoided the paths with fungus in them, but it might be time to re-consider.
Panda Monk: I swallow heavily.. The fungus in caverns was often bad news.. I wondered if I could slip around the fungus manage to leave it undisturbed while I sneak past..
GM: there's a small path in the centre, but it's not straight, and you'd definitely be in trouble if you failed.
Panda Monk: I take a deep breath and brave the path forward trying to avoid stepping in and disturbing that fungus
GM: Slow and steady... sloooooow and- the ground shakes beneath your feet, sending you tumbling into the patch of fungus. On the up side, it cushions your fall, and the downside, you've now obviously marked that you've been here, and sent spores clouding the air.
Panda Monk: I hold my breath and crawl out of the patch trying to get beyond the cloud and to shake them from my body before breathing the possibly intoxicating spores in.
GM: it doesn't take to long, but you can't be sure you didn't breath any in. Hopefully not enough to be a problem. Might be best to follow a clear path this time... though that does mean it'll be dark.
Panda Monk: I shake my head, this is just going from bad to worse.. Still no help for it.. I head into the darkness creeping forward carefully mindful of pit falls or other hazards.
GM: you stop suddenly, toes just barely dipping into some sort of liquid. You can't see a damn thing!
Panda Monk: I curse under my breath as I feel the liquid.. I bend down sniffing seeing if I can tell what it is.. if it's just water I can afford to move through it.. if it's oil or something else on the other hand.. no choice but to back track.
GM: it doesn't seem to have a distinct smell, so it might just be water? Your throat feels a little itchy, how long has it been since you drank anything?
Panda Monk: I swallow heavily.. I wasn't desperate enough for dungeon water.. yet.. I still move on through.. not much to be done but go deeper.
GM: and deeper... and deeper... it's up to your knees already, and you have no clue how much further it goes.
Panda Monk: at least I’m a good swimmer... I head further in, maybe the ones chasing me won't want to get their feet wet.
GM: you finally see some light further ahead, and it's on dry land! Hopefully that means it won't keep getting deeper. It's already up to your neck.
Panda Monk: I kick off stroking towards that light. Hopefully that's an exit ahead..
GM: finally making it up and out of the water you realize the source of light was just more fungus, though the room is warmer than you'd expect. Looking around you find some holes in the wall that seem to be exuding hot air. After the cold water, the hot air feels quite nice. You're soaking wet, so anywhere you go will leave a trail of water.
Panda Monk: I stand in front of one of those holes for a few moments letting the warm air dry me off.,
GM: your clothing sticks to your body quite uncomfortably, and doesn't seem to be improving even as the water evaporates. Before long you find yourself completely dry, but wearing clothing at least a size to small.
Panda Monk: I growl as my clothing shrinks.. at least I won't be leaving a trail.. I have to keep going.. Swimming back into my pursuers isn't really an option.
GM: the path ahead is unfortunately well lit by more fungus, but an easier path than last time winds its way through them
Panda Monk: given the lack of other paths.. I start on the winding path.
GM: it's going well when something catches your eye in the fungus patch. It shimmers with an odd light... an amulet of some sort? You could ignore it, or reach down and pick it up
Panda Monk: The fungus didn't hurt me before... the treasure might be valuable. I take it.
GM: picking it up, it seems to be a carved jade crystal with a lump on ruby in the side, attached to a gold chain. The whole thing seems to shimmer with some kind of pearl coating. You could probably identify and magic properties if you took some time to rest.
Panda Monk: first.. I’m getting out of the fungal path.
GM: After giving a couple mushroom a friendly rub you continue on your way. It's only after several more steps that you realize you'd even done it. It felt good to touch them though, so maybe that's why you did it? They have this soft, spongy texture that just appeals to you for some reason. The patch seems longer than you'd expected, but once again your attention is drawn to something in the mushrooms.
Panda Monk: I smile at least the mushrooms are pleasant down here.. This patch is going on forever, but.. that's not so bad.. I blink seeing something else interesting..
GM: coins? Yes! Gold coins! At least a dozen of them! You check, you still have a bag to carry them in.
Panda Monk: gold isn't going to help me get out of here.. I'm leaving them behind while I try to clear out of here.
GM: marching on you see something obstructing your view forward... a wall? A wooden wall has been constructed in the middle of this cavern, with a door in the middle. It's held shut by a metal contraption with a slot in it. Coming closer it has an inscription "6g" though that might be a 69 joke...
Panda Monk: I try the door anyway.
GM: It doesn't seem to want to open. You could look around to see if there's anything to pry it open with, or turn around
Panda Monk: This seems like a good moment to sit against the wall and examine that amulet to see it's magical qualities.
GM: inspecting it, it seems to be a divine amulet, though it hasn't been attuned to any divine being. It allows the user to draw power from the source of their choice, usually the god they worship. It's rare to find one that hasn't been attuned.
Panda Monk: "huh.. interesting.." I put it on as I start to look around for something to bypass that lock.
GM: looking around you find another stack of gold coins tucked amongst the mushrooms. It seems a small box previously housed them, but it had fallen over and released the coins. Perhaps the shaking from earlier?
Panda Monk: Well.. lucky find.. I grab the coins and head over to the coin slot to start inserting them.
GM: giving the mushrooms a little pat and rub you pick up 66 coins. It might have been a storage box for the coins put into this gate. Putting in the 6 coins the gate unlocks. For some reason you feel compelled to look back, and you see that the box has released 6 more coins!
Panda Monk: huh..." I giggle seeing that.. thinking I might need them so I pickup the extra six as well.
GM: giving the mushrooms another little pat you collect the coins and carry on your way, leaving the magic box behind. You've been walking for a while and your feel your stomach rumble. Wait, what's that... something small and purple in the mushrooms?
Panda Monk: The mushrooms don't worry me, they are nice.. so.. time to see what that little thing in the shrooms is.
GM: oh my, you know that symbol! It's a purple velvet bag of holding! It's got a bit of a knot trying it shut but it's easy enough to open.
Panda Monk: I giggle and pick up the bag, time to see what the last owner left behind as I start to tease the back open.
GM: inside you find rations and waterskins, as well as some playing cards and a small amount of gold, 5 coins, no, 4 and a copper.
Panda Monk: Woohoo food and water.. I grab some food and water and start to replenish myself as I continue the path.
GM: these mushrooms are just full of goodies! you reach down and give them a rub, and it lasts a bit longer than last time. With a giggle you notice a couple kind of look like... dicks. God how long has it been since you had sex? You find yourself stroking their shafts for a bit before continuing on your way. The cavern seems to be getting wider, which is fortunate because the mushrooms also seem to be getting bigger and taking up more space. Looking back you can be sure the size change is real, as the path behind you is smaller than the one ahead. God your top is feeling tight though. You're underground... maybe you could take it off?
Panda Monk: My top is left behind on top one of the mushrooms. If it's getting bigger I should be just about out of this section of the caves..
GM: God, are all your clothes against you? Your bra and panties are digging into you like crazy.
Panda Monk: well... they say a monk is never unarmed even when naked... the rest of my clothes join my shirt.
GM: As if rewarded for abandoning them, you see someone else had the same idea, but what they left behind was a large white dress. It's extremely simple, basically a white sleeve, but it should cover you with ought being a nuisance.
Panda Monk: haha. rewarded! I grab the dress and slip into it.
GM: It's comfortable, and feels really nice and smooth on your skin. You give the mushrooms another quick rub when something catches your eye: more amulets! Even if they weren't magical, the materials would be worth a fair amount. There's about a dozen just sitting there among the fungus.
Panda Monk: sweet... I open up my bag and scoop them in, pet the shrooms and start moving on.
GM: you give those yummy looking cockshrooms a good jerk and rub before moving on. You almost feel like you could find anything you might ask for in those mushrooms. It's silly but... maybe it's worth a shot to ask?
Panda Monk: Hey shrooms... do you all have something that can help me get home tucked away in there?
GM: you feel a bit silly talking to mushrooms, and nothing seems to change so maybe you were just silly. But then you come to a large, dome topped room. Mushrooms of all shapes and sizes line up before an alter, as if worshipping it. The room is easy enough to navigate without interacting with the mushrooms, but to reach the altar would require a direct path through. Why would you care about the altar? Because atop it rests a scroll that radiates a sort of golden light. Was this the answer the mushrooms were giving her? A way home?
Panda Monk: I blink seeing it.. well.. it would be unkind not to.. Giving the mushrooms little pats I make my way to the scroll.
GM: You reach the altar without any trouble. Even the biggest mushrooms are only up to your knees, and they're soft enough you can just push past. Picking up the scroll it's covered in arcane runes, but the core of it is written in common. It's a spell scroll, and the title is "Home Bound Goddess". The instructions indicate that the caster must be female and desire to be home. She must be wearing no clothing, though clean white dresses are permitted. To cast the spell, the caster must have some kind of elevated platform, and some group of entities that will 'worship' or 'revere' her during the casting of the spell. Once in position the caster must indicate that she is thankful for her worshippers, then recite the magic words. The spell will be cast using the magic of the worshippers and the caster, allowing those with minimal magic power to cast it.
Panda Monk: huh.. well thank you all." I climb up on the alter.."You are all so lovely.. Thank you so much for your help." I open the scroll and start to read it.
GM: as you read, the scroll begins to float, and the mushrooms begin to shine. It seems they're suitable subjects for the spell. Without a need to hold it, you let your arms rest on your sides as you continue to read. But as you finish reading, and the scroll bursts into a shower of golden light you find yourself still standing atop the pedestal. Maybe the mushrooms just weren't strong enough? Well, it seems like they tried at least. Can't really blame a bunch of mushrooms for lacking magical abilities.
Panda Monk: "Thank you anyway all.. it was a good try.." I start to make m way to the rooms exit."
GM: You try to get down off the pedestal, but find your unable to move your feet. In fact, your arms aren't responding either. Your body is suddenly awash with pleasure, a cool breeze caressing your soft skin. Looking down at yourself you realize why you can't move your arms: You don't have any. Everything beyond your shoulders seems to have disappeared. You should be panicked, you should be scared, but somewhere deep inside you feel relieved. Why? The mushrooms around you seem smaller, more delicate. They give off a sense of pride and reverence that makes you feel like they genuinely care about you.
Panda Monk: I smile looking around at the sweet little things
GM: Your body feels so... big... and strong. Your breasts sway gently from side to side, your hips a perfect opposite pendulum. A pressure atop your head gives way to release and the room is bathed in golden light. Mushrooms seem to grow up around you, pressing against your soft body, as if snuggling up. Though a couple seem eager to enjoy some more adult parts. You don't mind though, it feels good for you as well. All of your random and irrelevant possessions are stripped from you, leaving you naked before the mushrooms. But that's normal, mushrooms don't wear clothes. On the walls hang amulets of worship to the mushroom goddess, amulets worshipping you.
